We see patients who partake in various types of sport from occasional involvement to elite level.

Sports injuries are common from acute trauma with a definite incident leading to the injury to a chronic injury which will be caused by a build up over time but still may present quite suddenly.

Ultimately the cause of a chronic injury is due to repetitive load to a tissue beyond its capabilities, gradually micro trauma occurs over time until it presents to you with pain.

Therefore the stresses involved in different sports may be different but the reason behind tissue injury remains the same.

We will use slow motion video analysis with videos of you doing your sport if available to assist us to see what is causing this mechanical overload and stress on the tissue so we can address it appropriately with the correct treatment.
